IVSA Ukraine is the National Member Organization of IVSA in Ukraine, established on August 30, 2022. 



 
 

The objectives of IVSA Ukraine are to support and coordinate the participation of veterinary students of Ukraine in IVSA events.
Currently, the task of IVSA Ukraine is to unite students of all faculties of veterinary medicine in Ukraine and to provide maximum support to veterinary students in Ukraine who wish to participate in IVSA events. 
Participation in the IVSA is a great way to help our members gain knowledge, network with other students from around the world, and advance their professional careers. 
IVSA helps to enrich the student experience and promote international knowledge exchange. The knowledge and experience is returned to the student's home country and thus benefits veterinary medicine on a global scale.

How to create a local chapter within our national organization?
Send an email to the Director of the Member Organization (IVSA Ukraine) and the Regional Representative of our region (IVSA Europe Region)  with the following information: 
Name of the local chapter 
Name of the National Committee representative of the new local chapter
The number of members in this local chapter (you need to have at least 3 members to create a local chapter) 
After you complete the previous step, you will receive the official email address of the new local chapter and a password; you need to share this information with the National Committee representative.

The International Veterinary Student Association (IVSA) is a student organization representing over 38,000 students from more than seventy countries and 190 member organizations.
Our association is committed to benefiting animals and people around the world by harnessing the potential and commitment of veterinary students to promote the international application of veterinary skills, education and knowledge. Thus, one of its main goals is to improve the overall level of veterinary education worldwide.
The IVSA aims to:
A. Encourage veterinary students to use their knowledge and abilities for the benefit of both animals and humans.
B. To improve the overall level of veterinary education worldwide.
C. To actively support activities aimed at improving the welfare of animals worldwide.
D. To provide opportunities for veterinary students to pursue education in important areas outside of traditional veterinary training.
E. To encourage cooperation between members, veterinary student associations and international organizations.
IVSA helps to enhance the worldwide collaboration of over thirty thousand students, enriching their
enriching their student experience and improving their skills as future veterinarians. This is achieved through the organization of annual meetings (congresses) by organizing annual meetings (congresses and symposia), facilitating the exchange of experiences between our members, as well as many projects and educational opportunities that focus on animal welfare, one health system, education, soft skills and welfare, education, soft skills, etc.
Each veterinary faculty worldwide has the opportunity to establish its own membership organization.
Organization (MO). The local IVSA councils consist of a president, a senior exchange officer (EO) and a junior exchange officer (EO), but there may be more or less people as it depends on the organization itself. These local
EOs are responsible for organizing:
● local events such as lectures, workshops, fundraisers
● group and individual exchanges
Group exchanges give students the opportunity to meet other veterinary students from another country, see their professors and learn more about their culture.
Individual exchanges are based on a learning experience for one student abroad (e.g., an internship in a veterinary practice or laboratory).
IVSA has various projects in a global context. We work not only with students, but also with several international veterinary associations to ensure that our students are up-to-date and directly involved in all issues related to the veterinary profession. There are currently 5 standing committees:
● Standing Committee on One Health (SCOH)
● Standing Committee on Veterinary Education (SCoVE)
● Standing Committee on Welfare (SCOW)
Standing Committee on Animal Welfare (SCAW)
The Standing Committee on Careers (SCOCA) and the Alumni Network.
Participation in IVSA is a great way to help our members gain knowledge, network with other students from around the world, and advance their professional careers. IVSA helps to enrich the student experience and promote international knowledge exchange. The knowledge and experience is brought back to the student's home country and thus benefits the veterinary

We held the IVSA meeting and welcomed new team members from different faculties. 
The team already includes students from such cities as Bila Tserkva, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Dnipro, Lviv, Sumy, and Zhytomyr. 
We got acquainted with the team and told them what opportunities await them at IVSA. 👤
Our mission: "To benefit animals and people by harnessing the potential and commitment of veterinary students to promote the international application of veterinary skills, education and knowledge" 
We gather active veterinary students for new achievements, we would be glad to see you in our team.
